Child Safeguarding

Child Safeguarding at Clonfert College

At Clonfert College, the safety and wellbeing of every student is our highest priority. We are fully committed to creating and maintaining a secure, supportive and respectful environment where all young people are protected from harm.

Our safeguarding policies and procedures are designed to ensure that students feel safe, valued and listened to at all times. We actively promote a culture of vigilance and responsibility, where every member of our school community plays a part in safeguarding children and young people.

In line with national legislation and Department of Education guidelines, we have clear structures in place for reporting concerns, supporting students, and ensuring best practice across all aspects of school life.

This page outlines our safeguarding commitments, the role of our Designated Liaison Person (DLP), and the steps we take to protect and support the children and young people entrusted to our care.
